DTMs and Orthomosaics of LUPEX Candidate Sites in the Lunar South Polar Region
This page presents digital terrain models (DTMs) with a spatial resolution of 1 m/pixel and the corresponding orthomosaics for six LUPEX (Lunar Polar Exploration) candidate exploration sites (CR1, GR1, GR2, LP1, MP1, and MP2) in the lunar south polar region. The DTMs were generated from six LROC NAC images using a multiview shape-from-shading approach (Alexandrov & Beyer 2018). These datasets were produced for the purpose of evaluating the topographic characteristics of potential landing sites and conducting local-scale terrain analyses (Hemmi et al. 2025).
The datasets presented on this page are identical to those already published on Zenodo. For analytical and practical use, please refer to the officially released datasets provided in GeoTIFF format via the Zenodo repository. Note that this page includes only the DTMs and orthomosaics; ROI polygons, elevation uncertainty maps, and other ancillary products are not included.
